Mike Recicar

About Me

Hello, My name is Mike Recicar and I have been providing sports massage therapy and stretching in the Central Florida area since 1996.  I have been fortunate to work as a staff member of the Neuromuscular Training Center for nine years as a teaching assistant.  I was the team therapist for the Orlando Predators from 1996 to 2000 and I worked with the David Leadbetter golf academy at Champions Gate for two years. I continue to work with local athletes, runners and tri-athletes. Through these affiliations, I have gathered a wealth of experience and knowledge in treating injuries, providing preventive and maintenance therapy for my clients to avoid future injuries and recover quicker.

I am an active member of AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association), NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), CCA (Coastal Conservation Association) and I volunteer with the Oceans of Hope Foundation. My passion for healthy living and active lifestyle are driven by both personal and professional goals. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, stand up paddle surfing, yoga, fishing and all things outdoors.

I am a native Floridian and I live in New Smyrna Beach, with my best friend and wife, Dawn. My son, Shane and our yellow lab, Gracie are also my pride and joy.

Mission Statement

My Mission at Peak Performance is to provide each individual client with a program of wellness, not pain management. I believe that massage, stretching and exercise will facilitate the healing process. In conjunction with lifestyle changes such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, proper biomechanics and a positive approach to life these changes can happen. Without these crucial components massage may be a temporary fix, my goal is to provide you with complete balance and recovery.
